Sarah Danzo, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and Acting Assistant Professor at University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, and her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital. Her clinical work focuses on the treatment of adolescent depression, self-harm, and suicide behaviors, as well as improving access to evidence-based mental health services in widely accessed settings such as primary care. Her research works to better understand developmental models of depression and associated risk behaviors such as substance use and suicide, and translating findings into practice through work dedicated to development, adaptation, and implementation of effective, accessible, and sustainable prevention and intervention programs within communities.
